Earlier this season I picked up a K2 Fastplant and have been riding it since being in Davos.
Back in October last year when researching the board and checking up on it’s stats, I stumbled across a video review on the K2 Fastplant by ‘The All Black Shredder’. If you haven’t seen any of his snowboard reviews then check out the ESPN Channel.
There are a few other snowboard video reviews on YouTube by ‘The All Black Shredder’ but there’s something about the way the ESPN videos are edited.
Quotes such as “Mandatory 5-0” – “that’s a myth, that’s never a 6” and “Medium” are all infinitely quotable (try NOT to think about these next time you ride).

My Review: Feels solid underfoot, holds a good edge when carving both switch and regular and at high speeds too, nice pop and held it’s own even when it came to riding the pipe. My only gripe would be when taking the board into off piste crud, hard packed variable terrain, felt a little unstable. But considering it is a park specific board it still performs really well overall. Nice feel when buttering, solid on kickers and boxes alike.
Rides like a longer longer board. Tried both the 157 and 151 – never riden a 151 board before but like I said, when I did try this size in the range it felt more like 154 or 155.
